System Requirements
Desktop & Laptop Computers
To utilize our services and all of its unique features fully, your computer must
- have English as the default display and input language,
- have Microsoft Windows XP or higher (Vista, 7 etc.) or Macintosh OS X 10.5.x or
higher (10.6.x, 10.7.x, or 10.8.x) with administrator privileges,
- use Pentium III 800MHz or faster (Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or higher preferred) processor
for Windows and G4 700 MHz or faster (1.2 GHz or higher preferred) processor for
Macintosh,
- have a minimum of 512 MB of RAM (1 GB or higher preferred),
- have Java Runtime Environment v1.6 or higher for Windows (available here) and version 1.5 or
higher for Macintosh installed or have necessary administrative rights to install
it,
- have stable and reliable Internet service via 56k dial-up or faster (high-speed
connection preferred),
- use Internet Explorer v7.0 or higher or Firefox v12.0 or higher for Windows and Safari
v4.0 or higher for Macintosh (browser must have Javascript and cookies enabled),
- have Adobe® Flash® Player, 8.0 or higher installed (available at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/)
- have Apple® QuickTime®, 6.0 or higher installed (available at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/)
- have a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher pixels.
Please be advised that these are the bare minimum requirements for our software
to properly function. The presence of a personal security software, such as AVG, Norton, ZoneAlarm,
McAfee, Little Snitch etc. or network firewall (setup by school, work, hospital,
library, or public Wi-Fi administrator), proxy server (setup by school, work, hospital,
library, public, or Wi-Fi administrator), VPN, cookie and cache management products
may adversely affect your experience.
We do not support any other browsers like Netscape, AOL, Opera, etc. or virtualization
applications or any other operating system environments like Unix, Linux, etc. Trying
to log-in from unsupported browsers, non supported computers, accessing the contents
of courses by disabling scripting Internet options is a violation of the terms and
conditions.
Mobile Devices (Android or iOS based) - Qbanks Only
Access to Qbanks via mobile devices is provided as an additional feature, but it is not intended
to be a replacement for computer access. To utilize our Qbank software via a supported
mobile device (Android phone/tablet, iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch), your device must
have
Other devices like HP TouchPad (designed for Web OS), Blackberry Playbook (Playbook
OS) etc. which can run custom Android ROMs are not supported. Please be advised
that these are the bare minimum requirements for the app to function properly. The
presence of a network firewall (set up by school, work, hospital, library, or public
Wi-Fi administrator) and/or access via a proxy server, unreliable internet access
point may adversely affect your experience with the app.
