: As far as which one is better, I have heard they all 3 are good for Step 2. I was also told that they are not as good as step 1 nbme's in dicating where you are going to score so you need to shoot high. I was told by numerous people that they failed when they had over 400 going into the exam. The advice I have been recieving is to get at least 450 before attempting and to take more than 1 NBME to make sure you are in range.

I am at 400 on 2, I had gotten 410 on 1 when I was studying a while back (got distracted for a while and started over in december). So I am about 50 points away from where I need to be also, my approach is to do a block subject based (to see where I am weak in each subject) and then a block of randoms. Do what works for you, and don't take it until you are ready. take care and lots of Luck!
