Hi everyone. I had been looking the conversations and proceedings on this forum for long...but one thing I knew unless I have good score hardly anyoe will listen to me... so today I have some ideas for study...some die hard conventional and few inovative...who's interested?...and since I've started for step2 u can also advice any addition as even I need to improve.
I know all anxiety, hussel-tussel that we go through in life during exam stress... 1 step 1 tests ur tempeapment. so remove anxiety. U'll perform better. 7 hours of exam are crucial and you should try to relax and answer in peace as much as possible. and this might need some behaviour modifications right from begining... 2 READING is most imp. revision is still more imp. u cant replace them by videos simulations softwares...use them as aid when u get bored up after reading..I DID IT AFTER DINNER before sleeping 2-3 hr a day includes Webpath Goljan slides....Golajn high yield....simulation offline tests before buying uworld[good idea] and anythin thats on my laptop.... 3 books
I started with FA as it is a good book to begin with and to end ur superfast revision the day before. rest for study its not good. many peopleuse it as template to make notes... but i prefered to take notes in Kaplan...my idea is big book has 20 points and i need to add 10 more rather than rverse..and I can cutshort large book during revision but to expand a small book by imagination is tough for me!
Kaplan note : nice. READ AND REVISE. revise at least once. preferable twice. i took 21,14 and 7 days for 3 readings i did.fair enough time right? DONT RECITE. its not that nice...! anyhow its not exam based on Kaplan notes...its about subjects...topics... eg if u find any topic deficient in it u should not b lazy not to turn few pages of ur old text books...
text book anyone having fair time>3month shold intelligently view text book the ones they hav/should have reffered in med shcool! I did lippincot, pharmac[Tripathi-Indian author], I READ all diagrams from snell robbins...initially I had also covered Ganong half way through as I was very week in physio...but I wont advice that....unnecessary[ganong..]
