For IMGs applying for residency, must the IMG have worked in the specialty applied for? Must the references be specialists from the specialty applied for? Eg if I'm applying for Paeds, must I have worked in Paeds in my home country? Must my references be from Paeds? What if I've been doing another specialty? Thanks!
