I m an IMG.I got my step 1 scores....226/94. much lesser than wat i expected which is depressing me a lot.
I'd like to get a residency in internal medicine. I have t following questions
1. Is 94 a good enough score for Int. Med. 2. Assuming i get a 94-95 in step 2 n everything els goes well, what r my chances of getting a residency program.
As of now, im prep for step 2 which i intend to give in feb or march.
Pls help guys , m a bit confused and anxious edited by sunilbaligab on 10/11/2009

Sunil- 94 is a great score! triple score 230 would get you best programs provided you are not more than 5 years out of the last degree course doen. Again your publications and US exp,LORs also count.

Hey sunil, First of all congrats. 94/225 is a very good score. i know the recent trend in our col has been towards that magical 99 but I dont really think that 94 is a bad score by any measure. I am giving my step1 on 4th dec. How much did you score in the self assesment exam 1 & 2 of Uworld??
