hi all,

i wrote step 1 without adequately preparing (i know..big mistake), and failed it. i was totally unprepared for the failure, and became really depressed and pushed off step 1 for a while. now, i want to get back to it, but am wondering how difficult it would be for an img like myself to get a peds/medicine residency now. any thoughts/experiences/advice?

p.s. if there is anyone in the same boat as me, please let me know, b/c i'm also looking for an online sp.

when did u take the exam? where did u study from? i am trying to study for step 1 after couple of yrs cuz i took mine couple of yrs ago and i failed it, i was not prepped at all and now i am thinking about giving it a try again becuase now i feel is the time. I think I can do it now. In the mean time i did my masters in diagnostic medical ultrasound from university of missouri, columbia and currently working as a sonographer so i am still in touch with medical field.

Hi guys I plan to take step 1 next year, you think it's ok for me to apply for residency even if I graduated last 2008? Is that a factor for being matched? Thank you
